The mediven® struva® 23 is a circular knit clinical compression stocking for compression of the lower limbs. With a moderate compression of 23 mmHg, the mediven® struva® 23 is a simple and effective alternative to conventional compression bandages after surgical procedures. The clinical compression stocking with a precisely defined compression gradient ensures high effectiveness for a wide range of medical indications.
The vast majority of deep vein thromboses occur in the first 24 hours after the surgical procedure. For this reason, the use of clinical compression stockings in the perioperative period is a common practice.

- Prevention and treatment of post-operative and/or post-traumatic edema and/or hematoma, and reduction of pain (e.g. in case of orthopedic or vascular surgical interventions)
- Prophylaxis of venous thromboembolism in partially mobile patients – in the pre-, intra- and postoperative period
- Treatment of venous leg ulcers in immobile patients or those with reduced mobility.
