INDICATIONS:

  • Chronic venous insufficiency, stage I and II: with a mild to moderate tendency to form edema;
  • Inflammatory venous diseases (superficial thrombophlebitis, varicophlebitis) with a slight tendency to edema formation;
  • Varicose veins in pregnancy with a slight to moderate tendency to form edema;
  • Primary and secondary varicose veins, with a slight to moderate tendency to form edema (only recommended in some cases);
  • Thrombosis prophylaxis for mobile patients;
  • After sclerotherapy/varicose vein surgery.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Elastic stockings are a medical device that can only be clinically corrected by taking measurements across the entire leg. Consult the measurement chart in the article. Measurements should always be taken first thing in the morning , with the person standing upright, with their legs apart and their weight distributed between both legs. For a thigh-high stocking or tights, 4 measurements should be taken: ankle, calf, thigh and leg height (see the measurement chart for where to take these measurements). To measure leg height, you should stand upright and measure the height of your leg from the inside of your leg, from the base of your heel to two fingers below the knee.
